Stan Sakai was my thesis advisor when I was a senior at The Center for Cartoon Studies. Having Stan as an advisor was an amazing and humbling experience. It’s such a strange thing to be able to work closely with an artist you’ve looked up to for most of your life. When he visited VT he gave a great lecture and made a comic (top pic) about yours truly. It’s eerie how close he got to how my day actually goes. For more pictures of Stan at CCS click here!
